TERP Students Presentation at the 2025 CCAS Research Showcase

“We are incredibly proud to share that two TERP students have successfully presented their work at the 2025 CCAS Research Showcase!

Dayna Bailey is one of the 24-25 Taiwan Studies Research Fellows. She is a second-year Chinese Language and Culture graduate student with a BA in Chinese Language and Literature. At CCAS, Dayna presented her work: “A Labyrinth of Text: Navigating the Twists and Turns of Su Hui’s Map of the Armillary Sphere.” 

Ashley LaPlante received the 2024 TERP Summer Study Abroad Award to study at the National Taiwan Normal University. She is currently a second-year graduate student in Chinese Language and Culture with a BA in English. At CCAS, Ashley presented her work: “The Beginning of a New Era: A Closer Look at Italian Neorealism’s Impact on the Taiwan New Cinema Movement.”
