The Taiwan Resource Center (TRC), the only one of its kind in the United States, was established in December 2004 to provide a specialized collection of resources for advanced study and research on Taiwan and is open to all researchers actively engaged in the study of Taiwan regardless of institutional affiliation. Only at GW will researchers find access to seven major full-text databases providing full runs of important newspapers of record; over 450 important periodicals on economic, political and social developments in Taiwan; and documents and other cultural material on Taiwan’s history.
